September 2021 Update
The government has reponed registration again. the new deadline is now the end of September 2021. Most centres will close registration on the 28th of September. Please check with your respective centre for exact dates.
The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council has published the examination fees for this year’s examinations. The government has promised to subsidise 55% of the examination fees for public school and mission school candidates. So if you or your child goes to a non-profit Mission school or public school they will only have to pay 45% of the fees. However, this subsidy is limited to 7 subjects at O level and up to 4 subjects at A level only. This means if you are writing more than 7 subjects at O level and you will have to pay the full examination fees for the excess subjects.
Examination fees are as follows:
- $1 648.00 ZWL per subject for Ordinary Level and
- $2 400 ZWL per subject for Advanced Level
Ordinary Level Examination Fees
If we take into consideration the subsidy we get the following fees:

Those who are doing the following practical subjects will be expected to pay additional fees:
- 4002 Physical Education, Sports and Mass Display
- 4052 Building Technology and Design
- 4054 Food Technology and Design
- 4056 Home Management and Design
- 4063 Threatre Arts
The additional fees will be as follows:
- You will have to pay an additional $742.00 ZWL if you are a candidate in a public school i.e formal learner
- If you are in a private school or a private candidate you will have to pay an additional $1 648.00 ZWL
If you make mistakes and need to amend your statement of entry you will have to pay:
- Change of a Subject/Option $775.00 ZWL
- Addition of a new subject $1 978.00 ZWL
- Late entry fee $1 978.00 ZWL
Advanced Level Fees

You will be charged the following additional fees for these subject:
- Candidates in public schools (formal) will have to pay an additional $1 080.00 ZWLper subject and
- Candidates in private schools and colleges $2 400.00 ZWL per subject
For amendments and late registration, the fees will be as follows:
- Change of subject/option $1 104.00 ZWL
- Addition of a new subject $2 952.00
- Late entry $2 952.00 ZWL
- Late entry for Communication Skills $2 496.00
- Additional fees per subject $2 952.00
The deadline for normal entries is 09 July 2021 and the deadline for late entries is 30 July 2021
