In the mother of all comebacks, Liverpool stunned Lionel Messi’s Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield. This means that Liverpool proceeds to the UEFA Champions League finals after winning 4-3 on the aggregate. This was a shocking result not least given the fact that a near strength Liverpool had lost 3-0 in last week’s game.
This time around they were without their esteemed guns in Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino who were both out due to injury. However, unlikely heroes Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum scored twice sending the raucous Anfield into a frenzy.
