During the middle of the week, the President relented to rising public pressure and announced that schools would close on the 24 of March as Zimbabwe braced for the coronavirus that has wreaked havoc across the globe. The University of Zimbabwe has announced that it will also temporarily shut down on the 24th and more Universities are likely to join.
