The Zimbabwean government has promised to pay 53% of whatever registration fees ZIMSEC comes up with for the June and November 2020 registration fees. Parents and guardians will then be required to pay the remaining 47% of the fees including the fees they have already paid in the interim as we wait for ZIMSEC and the government to come up with the new fees.

I would now like to advise all parents and guardians in Grade 7, Ordinary and Advanced levels. The government will be contributing 53 per cent of the examination fees in public schools while parents and guardians will take up 47 per cent.

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Cain Mathema speaking to the Herald

According to Honourable Mathema, the government has already set aside $150 million to fund this exercise. Parents have waited with bated breath for the government to finally reveal the fees they want to charge those who are writing in June and November of this year.

This all came after the Minister of Education made a dramatic turn and nullified the hike ZIMSEC had effected.

In the meantime please be advised that the registration deadlines for June and November exams have not yet changed. You can find them here. You can register by paying the old fees.
