Google have announced that they are now accepting applications for their 2019 Google Africa Certifications Scholarships. The program began last year when however for some reason Zimbabweans could not apply as the country was not on the list. This time around I am happy to inform you that Zimbabwe made it on the list.

What the scholarship is all about?

Google is offering about 30 000 scholarships that will allow students to take online courses on a site called Pluralsight. These are completely online courses that will see students watch videos, complete set tasks before earning a certificate. The scholarship will allow you to take three courses: Mobile Web, Android and Google Cloud.

Normally to take part in these courses you will have to pay about $499 USD a year on Pluralsight. Google is not being completely selfless here as all these courses will advance their interest in Africa. However this would be a mutually beneficial process.

How to apply?

To complete the application process go to this Pluralsight page and complete the application. Remember there are a lot of scholarships available so you have a better chance to get one. This is a completely free process all you need is an internet connection.
