Now that the number of COVID-19 cases has gone down, talk has now turned to the reopening of schools. The last time students went to school normally was during the first term of 2020. A new school calender has been proposed and announced but it is just a proposal. The hope is that as more people get vaccinated the number of cases will remain low enough for some semblance of normal learning to take place.

  • Exit Weekends: None

Third Term 2021

  • Begins: Monday, 4 October 2021
  • Ends: Friday, 17 December 2021
  • Public Holidays: None
  • Number of School Days: 55 Days
  • Exit Weekends: None
  • Vacation: 23 Days

First Term 2022

  • Begins: Monday, 10 January 2021

This is all just provisional

2020 clearly demonstrated the limits of what man can do. We may plan but some plans just crash in the face of reality. The new calendar might or might not work depending on the number of cases prevailing cases.
