Parents Will Be Required To Pay School Fees When Schools Reopen: Mathema

Despite some rumors to the contrary and the fact that they are facing hardships brought on by the current lockdown meant to stop the spread of Covid-19, parents will have to pay school fees for the children when schools reopen. This is according to remarks attributed to Primary and Secondary Education Minister Cain Mathema in the Sunday News.

June 2020 Exams Will Start On June 29

According to Mrs Thumisang Thabela, the Permanent Secretary of Primary and Secondary Education, June examinations for ZIMSEC will start on the 29th of June this year and will run until July 22. This follows the government’s announcement last week that they really wanted June Advanced Level and O level students to write their exams in June.

Schools Might Only Re-Open In August: Nick Mangwana

Nick Mangwana the permanent secretary in the ministry of information, publicity and broadcasting services ( we will just call him Secretary Mangwana from now on), has been quoted by Health Times as saying that Zimbabwe’s schools will probably only reopen in August because of the coronavirus outbreak that has the entire world including Zimbabwe in lockdown.
