Government Caves To Pressure In Mat North

So last week the government through a circular written by Provincial education director Jabulani Mpofu, instructed schools which had a pass rate of less than 30% to conduct compulsory vacation lessons in April and August for Grade 5-7.

Video: Fire At Hartzell High School

A fire has burnt a part of Hartzell High School. According to sources the fire broke out on Saturday morning although it is not yet clear what caused the fire there is suspicion that the fire could have been caused by an electrical fault in one the basements.

Cyclone Idai: 52 Pupils Missing And 70 Missing

In a recent interview the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Mr Edgar Moyo revealed that so far they have confirmed that 52 school going children died during the cyclone while 70 others were still missing. It is likely these have passed away also.
